Rachel Bingham

Senior Director, Accreditation and Professional Development Dean's Office

Rachel Bingham joined the staff of the University of the Incarnate Word School of Osteopathic Medicine in October 2017 after serving seven years as the executive assistant to the Founding Dean of Marian University's College of Osteopathic Medicine (MU-COM) in Indianapolis, Indiana. Having helped develop MU-COM from its inception in 2010 through graduation of the inaugural class of DO Students in 2017, she is an experienced leader in both administrative and accreditation processes for osteopathic medical schools and is excited about being involved in the development of another school.

In her previous role her many and varied responsibilities included oversight of the developmental process and submittal of annual self-studies as well as coordination of the annual site visits by the national governing body of Osteopathic Schools (AOA-COCA) - a role in which she will continue at UIWSOM. Originating from the East Coast, Rachel is a graduate of Iowa State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree. She has more than fifteen years experience supporting C-Level executives in both for and not-for-profit organizations, as well as management of corporate offices in both New York and Indiana. Rachel is grateful to be part of implementing the mission and vision the University has set forth for UIWSOM, for the ultimate benefit of the San Antonio community. She also looks forward to the opportunity to further her education in a master's program at UIW in the near future.
