Hector Santos, MD

Dr. Santos earned his medical degree from Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University in North Chicago, IL. He then completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley-DHR in Edinburg, TX.

With a strong background in hospital medicine, Dr. Santos has been dedicated to resident education since TIGMER’s Internal Medicine program launched in 2018. As a core faculty member, he played a key role in shaping the program’s inpatient medicine training. Now, as Program Director, he is committed to fostering an enriching learning environment for future internists.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Santos enjoys spending time outdoors, particularly fishing and camping.
