Brenda Treviño

Ms. Treviño is a distinguished leader in graduate medical education, committed to nurturing the next generation of healthcare professionals. With a rich background in graduate medical education, Ms. Treviño brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her role as Assistant Designated Institutional Official at the Texas Institute for Graduate Medical Education (TIGMER).

Prior to assuming this pivotal position, Ms. Treviño served as Director of Graduate Medical Education at the University of Illinois at Chicago for four years, where she played a key role in shaping residency and fellowship programs. Additionally, Ms. Treviño held multiple positions at the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) throughout her 15-year tenure.

As Assistant Designated Institutional Official at TIGMER, Ms. Treviño oversees all aspects of residency and fellowship training, ensuring that programs meet the highest standards of quality and accreditation. She is passionate about cultivating a supportive learning environment that empowers residents and fellows to thrive.

Ms. Treviño is deeply committed to the advancement of medical education and professional development. She actively engages in coaching and educational initiatives, guiding aspiring physicians on their journey toward excellence.

Ms. Treviño is a native of Chicago, Illinois, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Information and Decision Sciences from the University of Illinois at Chicago. In her spare time, Ms. Treviño enjoys traveling and scenic photography.
