Director of Pre-Clinical and Clinical Support Medical Education

Asma Ali is the Director of Pre-Clinical & Clinical Support in the Office of Medical Education at the University of the Incarnate Word School of Osteopathic Medicine (UIWSOM). She joined the UIWSOM staff in April 2018, after spending 15 years in administrative and patient healthcare. Her background in healthcare management prepared her to be a leader in a clinical setting and taught her the importance of professionalism, leadership, and ethical standards. Currently, she seeks to provide creative, innovative, enthusiastic, forward-thinking support and direction with a focus on achieving continuous, improved organizational outcomes.

Originally from Indianapolis, Indiana, Asma earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Purdue University. She then earned a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Health Care Management and a Master of Science in Management and Leadership from Western Governors University. Asma is dedicated to utilizing her experience and education to provide support to the UIWSOM community as well as furthering the mission of UIWSOM.
