Leticia Vargas, MD MBA, FACOG has dedicated over 15 years of unwavering commitment to women's health. Dr. Vargas stands as a pillar of excellence in the field of OB/GYN services.
After earning her MD at UT Health Science Center, San Antonio, Dr. Vargas honed her skills through rigorous training, completing her OB/GYN residency at University Hospital in San Antonio in 2004. Her quest for excellence led her to become a diplomat for the American Board of Obesity Medicine, recognizing her expertise in addressing the complexities of weight management and its impact on overall health.
In 2009, Dr. Vargas expanded her horizons, earning an MBA with an emphasis in healthcare administration at Texas Tech — an endeavor that reflects her commitment to excellence and innovation in medical practice. Driven by a profound sense of purpose, Dr. Vargas returned to San Antonio in 2012, where she began practicing on the city's south side. Incorporating her passion for working with underserved and under-resourced communities, she currently serves as President of Quijotes of San Antonio, a medical mission group that has been providing medical care to the people of Oaxaca, Mexico, for over 35 years.
Dr. Leticia Vargas brings her wealth of experience and compassion to the forefront, guiding individuals on their journey to holistic wellness through her practice, Yaso Wellness Health Clinic, set to open in 2024.
Dr. Vargas is fascinated with people, cultures and travels. She enjoys doing community outreach in recruitment of preceptors and being a connector of services.
