Items handled by the Registrar's Office

The Office of Clinical Affairs (OCA) is primarily responsible for managing the VSLO system for SOM students. This includes creating student VSLO accounts, which is typically done in the Spring for OMS III students. There are various documents students may need assistance with.

Letters of Recommendation - Faculty must email the Letter of Recommendation to OCA. Raven will then upload the document to the VSLO system.

Transcripts - Students are responsible for ordering the copy of their transcript (Official Transcript Request) and requesting the transcript be emailed to the OCA, who will then upload the transcript to the VSLO system.

Malpractice Insurance - Malpractice Insurance is uploaded to the VSLO system by OCA.

AAMC Standardized Immunization Form - Due to the form needing to be completed by a healthcare professional, students must work with the PCP on completing the form. Students can also look into scheduling an appointment with UIW Health Services.

Good Standing Requests - Student must submit a Letter of Good Standing Request and select that the request is for VSLO. Once the student's good standing has been verified, the SOM Enrollment Services team will upload the letter directly to the VSLO system.

Mask Fitting -  Request a Mask Fitting. You can request a copy of prior mask fit results by emailing (tidwellc@uiwtx.edu).

BLS CPR, PALS CPR, and ACLS CPR Cards - You can obtain a digital copy of the needed card from How To Claim and View Your AHA eCard | American Heart Association CPR and First Aid. If you eCard cannot be found, or you need to renew certification, please contact Dan at RC Health Services (dan@rchealthservices.com).

Please reach out to OCA is you need assistance with an item that is not listed above.

Learners are required to maintain compliance with all Sentry MD requirements at all times.
