Lindsay Stephens, DO

Associate Program Director, Sports Medicine Fellowship Program Graduate Medical Education

Dr. Lindsay P. Stephens is a board-certified family and sports medicine physician with more than a decade of experience caring for athletes and active individuals at all levels of competition. She earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine and went on to complete her family medicine residency and a fellowship in primary care sports medicine at CHRISTUS Santa Rosa in San Antonio.

In addition to her clinical practice with Sports Medicine Associates of San Antonio, Dr. Stephens serves as Associate Program Director for the TIGMER Sports Medicine Fellowship. She has held leadership roles as Medical Director for the United States All-Star Federation and numerous sporting events, including the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon, Alamo Bowl, All-American Bowl and collegiate athletics across San Antonio. Her experience also extends to professional sports, having served as team physician for the San Antonio Silver Stars (WNBA), San Antonio Missions (MiLB) and San Antonio Rampage (AHL).

Dr. Stephens is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine, American Osteopathic Academy of Sports Medicine and American Academy of Family Physicians. Her scholarly contributions include multiple national presentations and publications on sports-related injuries and exercise physiology.
