Brianna Amaya is a Learning Specialist on the Academic Support team at the University of the Incarnate Word School of Osteopathic Medicine (UIWSOM). She graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio with a Bachelor of Science in Biology before receiving her Master of Arts in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Touro University Worldwide.
Amaya has nearly 10 years of higher education experience, supporting students at both two- and four-year institutions. Throughout her career, she has served as a tutor, peer coach, and program coordinator, helping students thrive academically and professionally.
Outside of work, Amaya enjoys living a full and balanced life – whether spending a quiet evening at home with her husband and their cats, joining friends for recreational sports leagues, or catching a concert when one of her favorite bands is in town.
