Rohini Mehta, MD

Psychiatry Clerkship Director and Phase II Curriculum Director Clinical Affairs

Dr. Mehta is an Assistant Professor in the Office of Clinical Affairs and a board-certified psychiatrist. She received her medical degree from the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine in Roanoke, VA, and complete her psychiatry residency training at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C. Dr. Mehta served as a Clinician Educator at the Medical College of Georgia before she joined the UIWSOM faculty in October 2021. Here, she serves as the Psychiatry Clerkship Director and Phase II Curriculum Director and has taught in all four years of the curriculum. Dr. Mehta is also Faculty Co-Advisor for the Gold Humanism Honor Society and serves on the NBOME National Faculty. She is the recipient of the UIWSOM Teaching Excellence Faculty Award in 2023.
