
Dr. Sarah M. Zalenski
Assistant Professor of Anatomy Clinical and Applied Science Education Email: szaleski@uiwtx.eduDr. Zaleski is an Assistant Professor of Anatomy in the Applied Biomedical Sciences Department at the University of the Incarnate Word School of Osteopathic Medicine (UIWSOM). After earning her PhD in Anthropology from the University of Florida in 2021, she guided undergraduates and first-year medical students through anatomy labs at the University of Missouri School of Medicine as a Lecturer. Dr. Zaleski joined the Structures anatomy teaching team at UIWSOM in January 2025. As a biological anthropologist, she studies variation in the developing and aging human pelvis. Dr. Zaleski aims to highlight human variation and foster learner confidence in the anatomy lab.
