Kimberly Villalpando, PhD

Dr. Kimberly Villalpando proudly serves as Assistant Director in the Office of Student Affairs at UIWSOM. She holds a PhD in Leadership Studies, where her research shines a light on authentic leadership, first-generation college students, psychological hardiness, and moral identity. Her love for higher education and involvement with student-led organizations sparked her dedication to working with Greek-letter organizations, honor societies, and student leaders all across San Antonio. 

With more than 15 years of experience supporting students, Kimberly believes every student’s journey is unique, and that the right support system can make all the difference. Her time with the McNair Scholars Program at St. Mary’s University inspired her to pursue her PhD. She’s also contributed her expertise to the Worden School of Social Service at OLLU and the Center for Experiential Learning and Career Success at Trinity University. 

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Kimberly brings a creative touch to everything she does. With a background in design, finance, marketing, and event planning, she loves blending her talents to create meaningful experiences. Outside of work, she enjoys staying active with dance fitness, expressing her creativity through art, and most importantly, spending quality time with her son and two daughters.
