Taylor Aoughsten is the Residency Coordinator for the University of the Incarnate Word School of Osteopathic Medicine. She graduated from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi with a Bachelor of Science in Health Science in 2015. While attending TAMUCC she was active in the Health Science Association through which she was able to benefit from educational conferences and be involved in the school community.
Upon graduation, Taylor worked as a Continuing Medical Education Coordinator for the South Coastal Area Health Education Center. The SCAHEC is a private institution responsible for improving access to healthcare and the training of health professionals to practice in medically underserved areas of South Texas. As a CME Coordinator, she was instrumental in the planning and organizing of 6 annual CME conferences in Corpus Christi and the South Texas Region. In addition, she was able to reach out to the local community and surrounding areas. This outreach included teaching health education courses in leading a healthy lifestyle as well as organizing events such as health fairs and public presentations.
Taylor is both honored and excited to be a part of the new School of Osteopathic Medicine and the amazing Graduate Medical Education team.
