Alicia Cortez

Alicia M. Cortez, a native of Clovis, New Mexico, moved to San Antonio in 1993. She has an associate degree in Applied Science and a certification in Medical Assistance from the Alamo Colleges. Alicia graduated with honors from UIW, with a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences Administration and a Master of Arts in Administration in Healthcare Administration. As an alum, Alicia is excited to be part of the School of Osteopathic Medicine's CIELO team. Prior to joining UIWSOM, Alicia worked for 11 years as a Certified Medical Assistant and a Clinical Manager with Renal Associates, PA, one of the largest renal groups in San Antonio. Alicia has over 20 years of experience in healthcare, working in both administration and clinical settings.

Alicia's goal is always to provide quality care to patients and she hopes to inspire the UIWSOM students to have the same passion and goal as they leave UIWSOM and become physicians in our community.
