Alicia (Allie) Macom joined the University of the Incarnate Word School of Osteopathic Medicine with 32 years of experience in higher education admissions, enrollment and athletics.
Prior to her tenure at UIW, she served as the Associate Director of Athletic Compliance at Florida Institute of Technology, the Director of Graduate Admissions for Online Programs at St. Leo University and the Associate Director of Admissions at Jacksonville University.
Allie has served on campus-wide Title IX, ISSG and Mental Health committees and acted as the ADSEC Representative for NAFSA Association of International Educators in Regions IV, VII and nationally. She has presented regionally and held DSO and RO credentials for F and J-1 international programs while recruiting globally for multiple universities.
Allie began her career in higher education at Hood College in Frederick, Maryland, where she earned a B.A. in History and Secondary Education; she later attained her master’s degree in Student Personnel Administration from St. Louis University and has also taught courses at Eastern Florida State College
Allie is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.
