Psychiatry Residency Program Manager - San Antonio Sports Medicine Program Coordinator Graduate Medical Education

Betty A. Moya is the Psychiatry Residency Program Manager and Sports Medicine Fellowship Coordinator.  She is a San Antonio native who graduated in 2001 from the University of Texas at San Antonio with a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in Early Childhood. Betty has 30 years of experience working in higher education which includes more than 20 years working at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UTHSCSA). While at UTHSCSA, she worked in the departments of Undergraduate Medical Education (Academic Affairs), Graduate Medical Education and Family & Community Medicine Residency Program.

After retiring in 2021 from UTHSCSA and working at her parish as an Administrative Assistant/Bookkeeper for the past year and a half, Betty realized she missed working with medical students and residents. Betty is thrilled to be part of the Office of Graduate Medical Education and looks forward to working with both the Psychiatry Residency and Sports Medicine Fellowship Programs.

In her spare time, Betty loves spending time with her significant other and immediate family, annoying her grown children, and watching Hallmark Christmas movies. Her hobbies include crafting, wreathmaking and photography.
