Foundational Pillars

The development of the UIW School of Osteopathic Medicine is based on four foundational pillars that were used to develop our transformational learner-centered curriculum, identity and student support.

The foundation pillars are:

• Standardization of learning outcomes and individualizing the learning process;
• Integrating knowledge and clinical experiences;
• Focus on inquiry and innovation;
• And focus on professional identity formation.
