Student Travel

Please understand that Osteopathic Learners/MBS Students wishing to attend conferences, seminars and events while enrolled at UIWSOM are acting representatives of the SOM.

Osteopathic Learners wishing to have travel approved to attend conferences, seminars or events must meet the following criteria:

1. Must be in Good Academic Standing (please see current UIWSOM Student Handbook for the definition of Good Academic Standing).
2. Submit an absence request form no less than thirty (30) days prior to departure.
3. Travel does not fall during Black Out dates listed in the academic calendar.

MBS Students wishing to have travel approved to attend conferences, seminars or events must meet the following criteria:

1. Must be in Good Academic Standing (please see current UIWSOM MBS Student handbook for the definition of Good Academic Standing).
2. Must submit an absence request at least fourteen (14) days prior to departure.
3. Travel does not fall during Black Out dates listed in the academic calendar.
4. Required approval from course and program directors.
