Holding Up Your Corner Workshop
With consideration of the goal and much planning, the SOM UNITY Group will be hosting a workshop guided by the framework of "Holding Up Your Corner: Talking about Race in Your Community" by F. Willis Johnson.
From the book: “Holding Up Your Corner is an effort to grapple with the complexity of addressing injustice from a Christian-faith-rooted perspective. It’s aimed at equipping and empowering participants to begin living into that call from God to address and correct injustice in the community” (pg. xxvi).
This event will take place on the evening of November 28, 2018 from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm and will be facilitated by Dr. Linda Solis and Jazmyn Hobdy. Because workbooks are needed for each participant and food will be served, please RSVP by November 12, 2018.
