Melissa Hernandez serves as the Admissions Coordinator at the University of the Incarnate Word School of Osteopathic Medicine. She is passionate about supporting future physicians as they begin their journey toward a career in medicine and takes pride in creating a welcoming and encouraging admissions experience, helping prospective students navigate the application process with confidence and care.
With more than 13 years of leadership experience and ten years of experience mentoring others, Hernandez is committed to building meaningful relationships and empowering individuals to reach their full potential. She earned an Associate Degree in Business Management & Technology and Small Business in 2020 and later graduated Magna Cum Laude with a bachelor's degree in healthcare administration in 2022. Hernandez believes in the transformative power of education and the impact compassionate healthcare professionals can have on their communities.
Outside of work, she enjoys junk journaling, reading, crocheting, painting and exploring creative crafts that inspire lifelong learning and personal growth.
