SAN ANTONIO, Sept. 11, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- InGenesis is proud to announce "Soaring to a Healthier Tomorrow," a luncheon fundraiser for the University of the Incarnate Word (UIW) School of Osteopathic Medicine.  The luncheon, set for Friday, Sept. 19 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Oak Hills Country Club, will feature UIW Medical School Founding Dean Dr. Robyn Madson, DO, MPH, as keynote speaker. Madson will share plans for the future of this exciting new addition to UIW with key community leaders and corporate sponsors.  The luncheon is hosted and underwritten by InGenesis.

"The UIW medical school will have a positive long-term impact on the health and wellbeing of Texas but it will also undoubtedly bring about job growth and revitalization within our community," said InGenesis president and CEO Veronica Muzquiz Edwards.

UIW President, Dr. Louis Agnese, Jr. said, "The medical school is an investment not only in San Antonio's future, but that of Texas.  Our school will help address the shortage of primary care physicians in many parts of the state, especially South Texas.  Because they are severely underrepresented in the medical profession, the school will also increase the number of Hispanics who become doctors."
