Why become a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine?

As a Doctor of Osteopathic (DO) Medicine, you will apply a distinct philosophy to patient care in every medical specialty including a focus on structure, function, and the body’s natural ability to heal itself. This holistic approach is the heart of osteopathic medicine, which is practiced by more than 145,000 DOs in the U.S. healthcare system. Currently, 25% of medical students are enrolled in DO programs.
