On behalf of our faculty, administration, staff, students and alumni, I am delighted to welcome you to our medical school. We are proud of the growth and accomplishments we have achieved during the past decade as we continue to serve the communities of South Texas and beyond.

What Sets UIWSOM Apart
We offer two degree programs: a four-year Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) and a one-year Master of Biomedical Sciences (MBS).
The UIW School of Osteopathic Medicine stands as one of the newest medical schools in Texas, and a vital part of one of the state's oldest Catholic universities. We admitted our first class of 162 students in July 2017. We advance a nearly 140-year-old UIW tradition of providing medical care and education across South Texas.
