Are you interested in teaching the next generation of physicians? The University of the Incarnate Word School of Osteopathic Medicine (UIWSOM) is actively recruiting physicians interested in being mentors, advisors, and teaching medical students in the local and rural communities. “Paying it forward” will enable practicing physicians to help train the next generation of physicians and carry the whole profession forward. If you have ever thought about precepting — now is the time to step forward.

- Current Candidate Curriculum Vitae
- Copy of Texas state license (or any state license for military providers)
- Copy of Medical board certification/s
- Medical Liability Certificate of Insurance (COI) (n/a not required for military or FQHC providers)
Current Preceptors
Preceptors self-report teaching hours to their appropriate accrediting organization (i.e. AMA, AOA, etc.) Contact the Office of Clinical Affairs with any questions.
