Coordinator (Clinical and Applied Science Education)

Vanessa Suhr is the Department Coordinator for the Clinical and Applied Science Education in the School of Osteopathic Medicine at the University of Incarnate Word. She joined the university with twenty-seven plus years of work experience from the California State University System, Dominguez Hills Campus. She has served in various departments and colleges - eleven years with the Department of Clinical Sciences of the College of Health Care Professions, served as the Assistant to the Dean of the College of Extended and International Education, Assistant to the Associate Dean of the College of Art and Humanities. The last ten years before moving here in San Antonio she served as the Class Scheduling Coordinator of the College of Arts and Humanities.

While working at California State University - Dominguez Hills, Vanessa attended classes in the evenings and received her undergraduate degree in International Business Management.

She moved here in San Antonio in 2016 to join her husband of 5 years. On her spare time, you will find her tending to her garden with a variety of succulent plants and doing landscaping in their yard. On weekends she loves to play competitive tennis. And as a team captain of a 4.0 women’s team for a Saturday USTA league. She is the principal benefactor of Amlan Elder Care Program – a project of non-government group of individuals in her hometown of Amlan, Negros Oriental, Philippine
