Melissa Enriquez is a Los Angeles native who graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Texas and a Master’s in Healthcare Administration from the University of the Incarnate Word, San Antonio. Her experience in clinical placement started at Spokane Community College in Washington state where she worked under the Nursing Department for three years before moving to Texas.

She is an officer in the U.S. Air Force Reserves at Lackland Air Force Base and has over 15 years of military experience with both Active Duty and Air National Guard units. While in the military she trained first as a dental technician then as a medic before transitioning to the Medical Service Corps as an officer.

Melissa enjoys spending time with her family, WWII literature, and hiking in the Pacific Northwest. She loves travel and language studies and is fluent in both Spanish and American Sign Language. She finds working with students to be especially rewarding and is excited to see the first graduating class start their medical careers and hopefully serve those that are most in need.
