Jaylen McCollum a native of San Antonio, Texas who has amassed over five years of experience in healthcare and pre-health professions procedures. He graduated with honors from the University of the Incarnate Word with a Bachelor of Science in Rehabilitation Science, with a concentration in Medicine.

Jaylen began his academic career as a cadet at the U.S. Air Force Academy before ultimately completing his degree as a dually-enrolled student at Boston University and UIW.

Jaylen has chosen to begin his career in higher education at UIW as a recruiter for the School of Osteopathic Medicine. His goal is to ensure UIWSOM admissions discovers the most patient-focused, academically qualified and passionate student physician candidates to achieve a student body aligned with the philosophy of osteopathic medicine.
