Lori Kels, MD, MPH

Associate Professor

Dr. Kels is an Associate Professor of Psychiatry in the Department of Clinical and Applied Science Education at UIWSOM. She received her BS in marketing from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. She earned her MD from the University of Nevada and her MPH from the University of Southern California. Dr. Kels completed her residency in psychiatry at the George Washington University, where she served as chief resident. She is board certified in psychiatry.

Dr. Kels has a clinical interest in the treatment of mood and anxiety disorders in women, particularly during pregnancy and the postpartum period. Her research interests include mental health in medical education and novel treatments for mood disorders.
